Who needs fossil fuels?

Seaweed is able to absorb five times more carbon dioxide than land-based plants. Seaweed not only acts to remove and store greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, it can also be harvested to produce biofuels that are carbon-neutral. (Who needs fossil fuels?)

Humans can restore oceans and climate by creating and managing ocean seaweed ecosystems. Humanity needs hope, in the face of hope-killing news that our current 400 ppm of CO2 in the air dooms us to acidic oceans and potential 10 to 20 meters of rise in sea levels.  In contrast, man made seaweed farms offer hope for reducing the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere and reversing the catastrophic course that we are currently on.
